Hi guys, I was walking past my display cabinet this arvo and decided to have a look, and notice a bit of dust, so I've decided to give my collection a bit of a clean, whilst I had these out I thought I would take some photo's, as a kid I collected the usual plastic Aifix, esci, matchbox figs and models, it wasn't until I was in the Army in the early 90s that I discovered historical war gaming, that's where I started me real journey in the hobby, this was not the first but one of the first army's I built, it consists of Minifigs and Essex figures, both are nice, the detail is better on essex but the proportions of the minifigs are more to scale and natural, this is the core of the army, I will get picts of the allies and my other 15mm Ancients later, I would give both the Minifigs and Essexs figs 8/10 I may one day touch up and give these guys a better paint job, but to many projects to do now, all comments welcome.
That's a lot of damn Romans!

They look good Dan. And now that they have been dusted off maybe you should get them on to the Wargames table?
ReplyDeleteNice army Dan. I've still got Minifigs they were pretty good in their day.
ReplyDeleteThanks guys, yeah I should try and find an opponent, times a bit of a factor, always painting and building, Minifigs are good, I think I would use a differant figure in future though, don't like all my figures in 1 pose.
