15mm Kurita Shadowhawk mech WIP

 Hi guys

The first of my Kurita mechs is nearing completion, this Shadowhawks paint scheme is based on the Amaterasu, an all female Draconis Combine unit, I’m only doing one in this colour scheme, so I will have to come up with a backstory as to why they are here, the markings are a combination of hand painted and decals, the hand painted ones are gibberish, as I do not write/speak Japanese.

I have always liked the theme of dark jungle horror, Vietnam war movies, predator etc, so have decided to set my 15mm Battletech projects on alien jungle terrain, the overall terrain colour will be green, with very small amount of understated purple shades, these are my thoughts, whether I can pull it off is another matter, the project will cover 5 factions, with 8-12 mechs each, plus vehicles and infantry, and will have Kurita, Steiner, Jade Falcon the Rasalhague republic and a Kurita based Merc company.

I still have some painting to do on this mech, the cockpit glass, heat sinks and some other small details, then I will weather it some more, then finish the base, the base will have a lot more foliage when done. 

15mm Colonial Marines painting started

These are not finished, just a base paint and a wash so fare, will go over the camo colours again, then highlight, paint details, and weathering, a couple of the vehicles are yet to receive their first wash. Ignore the big red dude in the back, he is not part of this force, may add another 3 mechs to have a full lance.

My Merc lance is coming along nicely, have to paint some details, battle damage and weathering, when the Mechs are done I will work on some Infantry and support assets, all comments welcome.

15mm Jie Fang Legion Mechs, base coat

Hi guys

Have finished the base coat on this lot, have decided to use one of the warhammers in another force (maybe Kurita), have chosen the colours of Davion's Jie Fang Legion, will brighten the blue and darken the black a little with filters.

15mm Mech lance ready for paint

Hi guys

These 6 Mechs are ready for paint (just need to add grit to a couple bases) I want to start painting these tomorrow, but haven't decided on a scheme yet, so will be looking at some schemes tonight, thinking either Davion Guard or Kurita, so either red/white/blue, a dark red, or maybe olive drab.
