Hi guys
I finished these 1/72 Anglo Saxons on commission at the end of last year, only just getting around to doing a post on them, mostly soft plastic Revell figures, the mounted Aethelflaed figure is 3D printed, I enjoyed this scale/subject for a change, I don’t get many dark age commissions, and never in 1/72, which I find a fun, overlooked scale, I think they turned out pretty good for standard soft plastic figures.

Fantastic job here. I like 1/72 it is a wonderful compromise and still offers cheaper entry to a period. Aeghelfred looks a great figure and these revel sculptures at 30 odd years old still look a good design Thanks for sharing
ReplyDeleteThe 1/72 Anglo Saxons miniature set is a fantastic choice for history enthusiasts and tabletop wargamers who appreciate early medieval detail and authenticity. These figures typically showcase warriors equipped with spears, shields, and simple helmets, accurately reflecting the look of Anglo-Saxon fighters from the early medieval period. The sculpting often captures dynamic battle poses and textured clothing, making them visually appealing despite their small scale. While some sets may have minor mold lines or limited pose variety, they generally paint well and fit seamlessly into Dark Ages dioramas or strategy games.
