a couple of good Matchbox finds

Hi guys, bought these three Matchbox vehicle today, they were the only ones in the shop, I'd like at least 2 more of the planes and 1 more of the tracked vehicles, the plane scales out well to 15mm and will be used to support my colonial Marines, do you think I should paint it? or just weather it? not sure what I should do with the tracked vehicle, use as civi terrain pieces? civi exploration vehicles? armour them up as troop carriers or AFVs? what do you think?

  1. I am loving those snow plows. They have a lot of potential, you could use them as is, or mount a gun for support in the back. I could see them being used as Civi, military support vehicles, or if you kitbash them enough-Alaskan Mad Max!

I'm sure CC over at TMP would like them for gaming The Thing as well ;)

  2. Yup, I think you should some sort of AA gun or perhaps a rocket launcher on the back of the vehicles.

The paint scheme on the planes is not bad, guess you have to decide whether it ties in with the colour schemes of your existing armies

  3. Going to arm and armour the snow plows and repaint the fighter, camo on top and light blue on the bottom half.

  4. That plane is matchbox...?? That looks very good. The trucks? I´d do what KP has suggested, some rocket launchers or AA guns on the back

  6. Just fount and bought this plane in Target. Thank you for your post. Now I really need to find these tracked vehicles. In what shop have you bought them? I live in Sydney so I think these vehicles should be in same shop as in Gosford.

  8. Well the Skybusters plane looks more like 1/144, perhaps in 15mm you could green-stuff the front section to make it look like a large UAV...

...the tracked vehicle looks great as a scenery item.
