Basing finished on my Romanians, this force was built around a platoon + sized force for Chain of Command, and I will now expand it to a Battalion + sized force for O group, a question, in the first pic, the figures on the left are metal FAA and those on the right are Hat plastic Romanians and converted WWI Germans to Romanians, which to you think are better? I'm leaning towards the plastic Hat figures, I have more of those I can add to the force, for more figures I'm thinking of either Shellhole scenics Romanians in greatcoats, or Strelets Romanians who are also dressed for winter, I have 2 more 38ts in the stash but will need more armour and guns from Shellhole scenics to fill the ranks.
I really like the Strelets winter Romanians but they do look quite different from what you have done so far.ReplyDelete
Yeah, the are a lot chunkier, and more wintery, but might not even be an issue, was looking for them last night and couldn’t find any for sale.ReplyDelete
Nice looking force! I just got some romanians myself. Do you have some specific colour/paint suggestions for their uniforms?ReplyDelete
I use Vallejo, a mix of dark greens for the helmets, usually Russian green, military green, or olive camo green, blouse is khaki grey, pants English uniform, and webbing is khaki.ReplyDelete
Most impressive! Very nice work all roundReplyDelete
That's a huge force. Well executed and not a WW2 nation you see every day.ReplyDelete
